Terms of Service
Short, honest rules for the beta.
Smruti is operated by Krish Waghani (Los Angeles, California, United States). These terms keep expectations clear while the product is in private beta. The Privacy Notice explains how data is handled.

What Smruti is
- Smruti is a memory assistant that works over WhatsApp: it saves what you send, sets reminders, keeps lists and balances, and answers questions from what you saved. An optional web dashboard shows the same data.
- By messaging Smruti or using the dashboard you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Notice.
Private beta
- Smruti is in private beta. Access is by invitation, free of charge for now, and may be granted, limited, paused, or withdrawn at any time while we test.
- The service may change, break, or be unavailable without notice. Please keep independent copies of anything critical.
AI can be wrong
- Smruti uses AI to read and act on your messages. It can mishear a voice note, misread a receipt, or misunderstand a date. Always verify important reminders, amounts, splits, and generated notes.
- Smruti provides no professional advice of any kind - bill splits and balances are arithmetic on what you told it, not financial advice.
Acceptable use
- Use Smruti only for lawful purposes and only with people who are happy to hear from it: friend reminders and shared lists must not be used to harass or spam anyone. Recipients can opt out at any time, and we honor that.
- Do not attempt to break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service, and do not use it to store or distribute unlawful content.
- You must meet WhatsApp's minimum age requirement (at least 13, higher in some regions) to use Smruti.
Your content
- Everything you send remains yours. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run Smruti for you, as described in the Privacy Notice.
- You can delete items at any time, and you can ask for full account deletion in the chat or by email.
No warranty, limited liability
- Smruti is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid to use it (currently nothing).
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing overrides consumer rights you hold under the law of your home country.
Ending or changing things
- You can stop using Smruti at any time - deleting your account deletes your data as described in the Privacy Notice.
- We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. We may update these terms as the beta evolves; meaningful changes will be noted on this page with a new date, and continuing to use Smruti after a change means you accept it.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
